the first and the last

Many days have passed and supposedly my body should have been recuperated by now, but it seems the opposite to me. I can say that I am feeling bummier each day.

I was told to cover for a receptionist who was on leave yesterday. Although that was my very first time stepped into the office, it feels so welcoming. Not only the office is beautiful, the staffs there were super friendly even the courier guys.

I started off by trying very hard to remember most of things as I will be all alone handling the reception counter for the last 3 hours. Alhamdulillah, I managed to overcome everything with a big relief and smile on my face. The company is among those big companies on list and you would see blondes walk in and out of the office most of the time. While looking at the names on the staff list, to my surprise, each one of them has his/her own secretary. Cool right?

The part in the office that I like the most is the pantry. Not only because the drinks are free but I feel like standing on a stage overlooking the working staff below. The pantry is on a platform and surrounded my huge windows for more views of the surroundings. As much as I can recall, I remember not a single office that I have worked before having a big refrigerator like the one at cheers: full with can drinks such as Pepsi, Soya bean, 7 Up, fruit juices and etc in their pantry. But unlike cheers, the drinks there are FREE!

Too bad, yesterday was my first & last day there. I hope my Thurs and Friday's job assignment would be a great one too!
